Students Rise to the Challenge
Since 1989, students like you have raised more than $4 million for the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research (FPTR). PT and PTA students are making a difference. The Marquette Challenge now accounts for nearly a third of FPTR’s annual budget and is the nonprofit’s single largest fundraising activity.
Stay Connected With Your Peers, Your Community, Your Profession
Most students who participate in the Marquette Challenge will not become researchers. They participate because they care about their future profession and know that research improves care for patients and helps prove the value of physical therapy. This year is no different. When students participate in the Challenge at any level they make an investment that strengthens their future profession. Every donation, big or small, makes it possible to fund scholarships, fellowships, and research grants. Further, students who participate gain valuable leadership skills and experience that contribute to their professional growth and networks.
A Challenge Like No Other…
Students, like many, are facing unprecedented challenges amid the COVID 19 pandemic and many changes taking place in the world. PT and PTA students face a much different world. The Marquette Challenge is a way to make a grassroots difference in your future. As many schools move forward with plans for virtual instruction, Marquette Challenge events can help you stay connected with your classmates while making an impact. We understand students have a lot going on and we’re here to help support you and keep you connected.
Fundraising will look different this year. Although different, students can be just as successful — if not more successful — by being creative and using virtual experiences and social media to reach new networks.
