Opportunity: Intern, Foundation for Physical Therapy Research

This opportunity works directly with the communications team and provides the candidate with the chance to gain experience across several areas, including fundraising, research, and communications.

Examples of responsibilities include assisting staff with virtual event promotion, drafting social media content to promote initiatives and accomplishments, working with Scientific Programs to update reporting for research funding, monitoring social media channels, drafting email content, and general communications support as assigned.

The Foundation for Physical Therapy Research (FPTR) is a national nonprofit that funds physical therapy research. We are an affiliate of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) in Alexandria, VA.  APTA represents more than 100,000 member physical therapists, physical therapists assistants and students.

This internship is for a 10–12-week temporary remote or virtual employment opportunity totaling up to 37.5 hours per week for undergraduate or graduate students interested in gaining experience in nonprofit healthcare communications and marketing.  The internship is paid at $12.00 per hour.
